Since it was first held in 1990, the
Hokuriku Technology Fair has evolved into the largest annual technological
event in the Hokuriku region. It involves industries, universities, and public
administrative bodies, and displays a wide range of the latest technology and
new products developed by companies, academic institutions, and research
institutions. Furthermore, it allows corporate representatives, engineers, and
researchers to network and discuss business developments.
The Hokuriku Technology Fair is not an
ordinary trade show. The purpose of the fair is to facilitate technology
transfer, fusion, and co-development between research and development and
manufacturing industries based on the time-tested tradition of gmonozukurih. We
envision that the fair will contribute to the development of sophisticated
craftsmanship, technological developments, the creation of new businesses, and
an increase in our regional and national competitiveness.
In 2006, there were 206 booths housing 181 corporate participants from
various companies and organizations. There were a total of 19,827 visitors.
